Upcoming Events

“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.” – Dr. Mae Jemison

EPiC hosts, facilitates and/or sponsors several events throughout the year. Our events and activities center around advocacy for equity in education and empowering Black families.

Circle of Hope for Men

Have you missed the chance of joining our Circle of Hope or would like to participate again?! EPiC will be hosting another COH starting May 24th. These sessions will focus on self-care, health and wholeness for those who are parenting. This will be a space to focus on you. A space to be vulnerable, take a breath, discuss your highs and lows, fears and triumphs, and celebrate your success. This circle is here to support you!

Circle of Hope for Men

For the first time, we will be hosting a Circle of Hope FOR MEN! During this 4-week group session, we’ll focus on dispelling the myth that men are not connected to their children’s education or school. Self-care is important to men also – it just shows up differently than mom’s. This group is open to all men: dads, caregivers, uncles, guardians, and however you identify yourself as you support your children!

Free Academic Tutoring

Empowered Parents in Community and Greater Promise will be offering FREE academic tutoring for students in preK – 12th grade beginning May 7th.

This will provide a safe space for Black students to learn, increase confidence in their academic ability and to partner with Black educators with the community and to promote academic rigor.
